Grapes At Twilight

Today marks the first day of another 30 paintings in 30 days challenge.  The lazy hazy days of summer make me hesitant to spend time in my little studio so I am so excited to participate in this challenge - hosted by Leslie Saeta -for the second time.  Over 700 artists world wide are participating this time.  I am inspired by all of the work these artists produce and enjoy following their blogs and sharing cyberspace on pinterest.  I have been trying to loosen up my technique for some time and it seemed appropriate to start with a little warm up of mixed media.  This 9x12 canvas panel has been done with oil pastel and acrylic paint.  Love the colour combinations for Fall of eggplant and olive.  I hope to do some more of this type of loose mixed media painting during the challenge.  This painting is available for $125 shipping included for the month of September.
