Memories of Collingwood

Painting #4 of the 30 day challenge.  This painting is entitled Memories of Collingwood.  I am still experimenting with oil pastel and acrylics and it's amazing to me how creative my paintings have become when I play with this medium.  I start by sketching out a really loose design with oil pastel using the colour palette I'd like to experiment with.  I then start filling in with acrylic until the layers reach the desired effect.  Tomorrow's offering is already on the easel.  I'm taking a break from the pastels and back to something a little more sweet!  This painting is on a wrapped 11x14 canvas and is priced at $150. with shipping included for the month of September.

This painting is now SOLD!  Thank you!

  1. Gorgeous, I have never tried to mix these two mediums, love hearing how you do it :)

  2. Thanks Sheila! It's fun - feels like playing really! The intensity of the oil pastels takes the palette in a different direction. Makes me take chances that I wouldn't normally
